Making electrical waterproof boxes requires consideration from many aspects such as design, material selection, production process,quality inspection,usage environment,electrical functions and customer preferences etc. Only by strictly controlling the quality and safety of every link can we produce high-quality, safe and reliable products.

The design of the box should follow the principles of moisture-proof, waterproof, and dust-proof, and at the same time, the ventilation and appearance of the cabinet should be taken into consideration. Waterproof boxes are also made of metal and plastic due to different performance. There are also differences in the choice of materials for production.

The main material choices for metal waterproof boxes are as follows:

1.Cold Roll Steel: cold roll steel material is the most widely used and the most cost-effective material.

2.Stainless steel: Stainless steel is a common material used for waterproofing. Its main components are iron, chromium, nickel and other elements. It has good anti-corrosion and anti-rust properties. According to different material costs and product performance, there are SS201, SS304, and SS316 to choose from.

3.Aluminum Alloy: Aluminum alloy is a lightweight, beautiful and anti-corrosive metal material.is a good material to produce die cast aluminum electric junction box.

The production process mainly includes welding, bonding, sealing and other links. During the welding process, it is necessary to ensure that the weld is flat and free of blisters to avoid water leakage; in the bonding part, attention should be paid to the selection and use of glue to ensure a strong and seamless bond. Appropriate sealing materials must be selected for the sealing link to ensure a waterproof effect. During the production process, the process requirements must be strictly followed to ensure the quality of every link.

The main material choices for plastic waterproof boxes are as follows:

1.ABS:ABS resin is one of the five major synthetic resins, with excellent impact resistance, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and electrical properties. It also has characteristics such as easy processing, stable product size, and good surface gloss. It is widely used in industrial fields such as machinery, automobiles, electronic appliances, instruments, textiles, and construction, and is a widely used thermoplastic engineering plastic. The English name is acylonitrile Butadiene Styrene copolymer, abbreviated as ABS. ABS is one of the most widely used engineering plastics.

2.PC: Polycarbonate is colorless and transparent, heat-resistant, impact resistant, flame retardant BI grade, and has good mechanical properties within normal usage temperatures. Good impact resistance, high refractive index, and good processing performance.

3.SMC fiberglass: SMC is a composite material that belongs to the category of fiberglass. The main raw materials are composed of GF (special yarn), MD (filler), and various additives.SMC material has excellent performance characteristics. In practical applications, this material is often made into commonly used components, with absolute sealing and waterproof performance, anti-corrosion performance, electrical insulation, and beautiful appearance. In addition, SMC material also has excellent mechanical properties, thermal stability, chemical corrosion resistance, and other excellent properties.

Quality testing is an important part of ensuring product quality. During the inspection, the appearance of the box must first be inspected to ensure that there are no obvious flaws or damage. Secondly, the sealing must be tested by using methods such as pressure testing or water immersion testing to ensure that there is no leakage in the sealing ring and welded parts. Finally, the sealing ring and welded parts must be tested. Test the electrical performance, check whether the circuit is smooth and whether the electrical equipment can work normally. Only through strict quality inspection can we ensure that the quality of industrial waterproof boxes meets the requirements.
