What’s new at the 133rd China Import and Export Fair

The 133rd China Import and Export Fair, the long-standing event, also dubbed the Canton Fair, it is an annual event held in Guangzhou, China, and is one of the largest trade fairs in the world.

The Canton Fair is an ideal platform for international traders, manufacturers and distributors to do business. It provides an excellent opportunity for foreign businesses to get a closer look at China’s manufacturing capabilities and to discover new products, technologies, and services. On April 15th, the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, officially kicked off, attracting a massive crowd of exhibitors and buyers.

After overcoming numerous challenges and embracing innovation, this year’s Canton Fair has fully restored its offline exhibition with a new venue that spans over 100,000 square meters, drawing over 200 countries and regions’ buyers and nearly 35,000 offline participating companies. The exhibition area and the number of participating enterprises have both hit historic highs.

As the largest Canton Fair in history and the first to fully restore offline exhibitions following the Class B management policy for pandemic prevention and control, the importance of the 133rd Canton Fair cannot be overstated.

The 133rd Canton Fair kicked off on Apr.15th,2023, and run until May 5th,2023 in three phases. The first phase of the event, which ran from April 15 to 19, comprises 20 exhibition areas, for categories including house hold appliances. building materials and bathroom products. and has attracted 12.911 companies to participate in the off line exhibition. Of these, 3.856 are new exhibitors.

The first phase of the Canton Fair concluded on Apr.15,2023, with better-than-expected traffic exceeding 1.26 million. Both the exhibition area and the number of visitors reached a record high. At the same time, the online platform was operated on a regular basis, and 311,000 overseas buyers participated online.
